Is it more efficient to charge a cellphone via a power outlet, or with a computer via a USB cable?

May 16th, 2010

I recently bought a new cellphone and it came with a standard power outlet charger, and a USB cable. I’m able to charge my phone using either one, but I’m wondering if one of them is more efficient than the other.

Should I get an Energy Star computer?

May 12th, 2010

Hi, I’m going to be using my computer much more now and I was wondering if I should get an Energy Star computer to save energy. I don’t pay for electricity, my landlord does. If I do get this computer, I have to sell my current one for $300 less than I bought it for. So, should I keep this one and maybe pay my landlord $20 extra a month or buy a new one? Thank you.
