April 28th, 2010While Apple does not allow iPhone apps to include nudity, it is cracking down on sexually explicit content. Apple is reportedly removing apps with even the slightest bit of “sexual innuendo” and apparently some apps with pictures of women in bikinis. Despite the crackdown, Playboy’s app is still available, as are risque photos of Rihanna on the GQ app and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Google has gained clearance to purchase and supply energy. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s approval allows Google to begin selling energy to consumers, just as ConEd would. While consumer energy may be in its future, many believe Google may simply use the approval to beef up its infrastructure. Sprint is set to begin letting consumers tap into its 4G network. The wireless company will begin selling 4G compatible devices this Summer, which will allow users to surf the mobile web on the fast WiMax network. Sprint Nextel’s 4G WiMax service is the first of the next generation wireless networks to be made available.
